Terms of Service

FinanceOS provides a web-based platform for personal finance management, including portfolio tracking, budgeting, tax estimation, and analytics. The service is informational only and does not constitute financial, tax, or investment advice.

By creating an account, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the platform. We reserve the right to update these terms with 14 days' notice.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding agreements in your jurisdiction. One person may maintain only one active account.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Enable two-factor authentication for enhanced security.

You agree to use FinanceOS only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You may not use the service to engage in market manipulation, money laundering, or any other financial crime.

Automated access (scraping, bots) is prohibited without prior written consent. API access is available for approved integrations under separate API terms.

Financial data displayed in FinanceOS is sourced from third-party providers and may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. We make reasonable efforts to ensure data quality but provide no guarantees.

FinanceOS is not a registered investment advisor, broker-dealer, or tax preparer. All calculations, projections, and analytics are estimates. Always consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions.

Free tier accounts have access to core features with usage limits as described on the Pricing page. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually, with automatic renewal unless cancelled.

You may cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing cycle.

The FinanceOS platform, including its design, code, branding, and documentation, is the intellectual property of FinanceOS and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.

Your financial data remains your property at all times. You grant FinanceOS a limited license to process your data solely for the purpose of providing the service. This license terminates when you delete your account.

We target 99.9% uptime for paid plans. Scheduled maintenance windows are announced at least 48 hours in advance. We are not liable for downtime caused by force majeure events or third-party infrastructure failures.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service with 30 days' notice. In the event of a permanent shutdown, all user data will be made available for export.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FinanceOS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or investment returns.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or fail to pay applicable subscription fees after a 14-day grace period.

Upon termination, you retain the right to export your data for 30 days. After this period, your data will be permanently deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Berlin, Germany.

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
